Help Advance Our Public Benefit Mission
Stories 4 Da Fam was built on a simple premise: working-class communities have the first and strongest claim to defining the meaning of their own histories, not the institutions that arrive later to interpret them.
We have stripped away traditional startup fluff—no newsletters, no social media feeds—to focus entirely on two high-leverage roles that safeguard this work: community stewardship and operational execution.
Circle Stewards (Early Millennial Women)
The “On This Day in the Early 2000s” calendar rests on participant testimony and daily reflection, but the online space belongs to the women who experienced the era. We are seeking early volunteers to serve as Circle Stewards.
In this role, you will share the daily calendar entries, found a private, text-heavy circle for your own trusted friend group, and sit down with us to co-design how platform governance is responsibly handed over to the community over time. We are building an intimate, high-trust space free from algorithmic noise—and we need community custodians to anchor it.
Operational Leadership & Executive Partnership
We are seeking an Executive Partner whose domain is operations, organizational strategy, and sustainable execution. Above all, we are seeking someone who shares our passion for restoring participant perspectives and collaborating with communities across cultural lines.
We are not seeking a typical tech co-founder for an early-stage app. This role demands a rare kind of versatility—the ability to navigate conversations with investors, connect authentically with ordinary people at the community level, and step in to manage operational planning.
Culturally, the role calls for an enthusiasm for the early 2000s—or, at minimum, the capacity to look back at a provocative era and its participants without rushing to moral judgment.
The philosophy, charter, and structural design of this Public Benefit Corporation are established. You are not being asked to invent the mission from scratch; you are being invited to help build, run, and protect the machinery. If you think you meet our criteria or have interest, we should talk.
